Skills, experiences and interests:

I am trained as a lodge manager through on-the-job training at Wilderness Safaris from 2002 to 2004. Here I was dealing with the whole lodge management, including

  • Guest and staff relations
  • Month’s end procedures (wages and banking)
  • Monthly stock take and orders

My special skills are

  • Guest etiquette
  • Lodge administration
  • Guiding of tourists
  • Facilitating community workshops at village level
  • Recording and filing of minutes

I also worked as an Assistant Professional Guide at Unvuvu campsite from 2006 to 2009. I assisted the Communities of Ngamiland Area 32 in developing a Community Strategic Plan and a Community-Based Organisation. I worked with the communities of the Okavango Community Trust as the Secretary of the Board of Trustees from 1998 until 2002 as well as in 2011.

I enjoy a lot the interaction with people from different regions, getting involved in community issues and particularly in tourism-related activities.
